I sincerely appreciate your business and I am honored that you have chosen my bakery for your celebration. I ask that all customers review my business policies before placing an order so that we are on the same page. Thank you!

 

Cake Truffles & Pops

Our cake truffles, commonly referred to as cake balls, are made to order, hand-rolled, and decorated by the baker. All cake truffles and pops are guaranteed to weigh at least 1 ounce each. Ingredient labels are included in the packaging and are also available via email by request. 


Unless otherwise noted, cake truffles may contain common allergens including wheat, soy, dairy, eggs, and nuts. 


Allergen Disclaimer: My bakery is in a residential kitchen. Therefore, while I make every effort to prevent cross-contact, there is still a slight risk of the presence of any allergen. 


Flavor of the Month Club

Flavor of the Month club includes a 6 pack of the flavor of the month cake truffle, a 10% discount off all other orders during the month(s) of membership, and a free baker's choice cake pop included in flavor of the month order. For those subscribing to the 3 month membership, you will receive one "skip" for a month when you are not interested in the special flavor (email me to use your skip).


Flavor will be announced on the 1st of each month via social media. Subscriptions must be ordered by the 10th of the month. Orders received after the 10th of the month may be applied to the following month. Pick-up will be on the 3rd Sunday of the month. Arrangements can be made for later pickup if needed. Payment must be received by the Monday before pickup Sunday (the due date will be included on your invoice).


Placing an Order

I require at least 2 weeks’ notice for all orders to ensure that ingredients and supplies are available. I highly recommend placing your order as soon as you have a date in mind. 

 

I will reply to your order request within 48 hours, unless otherwise noted on my website. When I respond, you may also receive an invoice for your order. Payment is due at the time of order confirmation. 

 

Custom Orders

I love when customers have inspiration and ideas for an order. However, it is impossible for me to recreate another baker’s work precisely. I will work with each customer to make their inspiration a reality.

 

Payments

Orders will be invoiced through Square. Square accepts online payments via Visa, MasterCard, AmEx, Discover, Apple Pay, Google Pay, After Pay, or ACH bank transfer. I can also accept Venmo payments by request. All payments are due upon invoice. Your order will not be started until payment is received. If payment is not completed at least 72 hours prior to the agreed pick-up date, your order will be canceled. 

 

Cancellation Policy

If an order is canceled after confirmation & payment, a 50% refund will be given if notified more than 1 week prior to pick-up. If the order is canceled within 1 week of the pick-up date, no refund will be given.

 

In the rare event Once a Bakery has to cancel your order, you will receive a 100% refund.

 

Rescheduling

I am happy to reschedule an order if I have the capacity to accommodate the change. Reschedule requests must be submitted 72 hours prior to the original pick-up date. Rescheduled orders are not refunded; the payment for the original order will be applied to the new order. Rescheduled orders can be adjusted (see below), but changes in quantity, flavors, or other components may result in additional cost. Failure to reschedule at least 72 hours in advance does not allow for a refund of the original order. 

 

Order Adjustments

Changes to an order must be made prior to final payment. Changes received after the order is confirmed and paid may result in additional cost and/or delay in the pick-up date. Changes that result in decreasing the overall number of product will not be refunded once payment is completed. All change requests are at the discretion of Once a Bakery and subject to limitations for supplies and ingredients.

 

Refund Policy

I guarantee that the general flavor profile, size, and decoration as agreed in your invoice will be met to my quality standards as outlined below. If you are not completely satisfied with your order, please let me know when you receive the order. Once the order is received by the customer, no refunds will be given.

 

I do not offer refunds or exchanges on custom products that meet my quality standards once an item has been picked up or delivered. Once the product leaves my possession, it is the responsibility of the customer. Refund requests due to color, shade, or general and/or minor decoration design will not be considered. Refunds are only given if the product does not meet the cake flavor, size, quantity or general description as detailed in the original order. Refunds are at the sole discretion of Once a Bakery. Refunds of 50% will be given when a product is returned within 6 hours of pick-up with 95% or more of the order remaining. Refunds will not be given for unreturned orders or orders with less than 95% remaining.

 

If there is an issue with the taste, you must contact me within 5 hours from the delivery or pick-up of the order. Taste and texture are subjective, and all items are tasted during production for quality assurance. Refunds requested for texture and taste are at the bakery’s sole discretion. All products are uniquely made, and texture and taste may change slightly between orders. Temperature and humidity variations may impact the flavor, design details, or texture of baked goods. I cannot control changes due to weather conditions.

 

I work directly with my customers individually to plan their baked goods. Pre-orders for special occasions are set designs. Please place a custom order if pre-order offers do not meet your design needs. I am happy to work with color schemes, but I cannot guarantee a specific shade or color for any product. Refunds are not given for variations in color, design, or decorations. 

 

Pick-up & Delivery

Once a pick-up or delivery time has been agreed upon, please make every effort to meet. Refunds will not be given for failure to communicate or meet for a pick-up. I will make efforts to be flexible if your pick-up needs change, but this is not guaranteed.
